2015 JFK 50 Mile Entry Standards & Procedures
Race Entry Will Open March 1st
Just meeting one performance-time for one listed distance is necessary to qualify
for any particular entry standard level.
All qualifying marks must have been achieved since September 1, 2013. Documentation
must accompany entry.
100 "Local" entry positions will be available for Washington County residents
(and residents of bordering counties....Frederick and Allegany Counties in Maryland,
Berkeley and Jefferson Counties in West Virginia and Franklin County, Pennsylvania)
who meet the minimum of the C- Standard Qualifying Standard. These
entries will be accepted first-come, first-serve beginning on March 1st. Residents
of these counties that meet the A Standard qualifications, are active-duty military
personnel, 10-time (or more) JFK 50 Mile Finishers or Charity Entrants, will not
count against the 100 reserved "local" positions.
100 charity entry positions will be available for non-qualifiers.
Charity entrants will be required to raise a minimum of $500 for one (or more) of
the charities of the JFK 50 Mile. Charity runners will also need to pay the appropriate
entry processing fee. Charity entrants will have the option of requesting access
in to the "invitation only" 5:00 a.m. start. Charity Runners must have officially
finished a marathon (or longer event) sometime since September 1, 2013.
Active Duty Military Personnel will be exempt from qualifying standards but will only have access to the 7:00
a.m. start (12-hour time-limit) unless otherwise meeting the criteria for the "invitation
only" 5:00 a.m. start.
Non-Active Duty Military Personnel can enter on March 1st, but must meet the
minimum of the C-Standard Qualifications and will only have access to the 7:00 a.m.
start (12-hour time-limit) unless otherwise meeting the criteria for the "invitation
only" 5:00 a.m. start.
5:00 A.M. Start "Invitation" Requirements (must meet a minimum
of one requirement): 10-or-more prior official JFK 50 Mile finishes, charity entrant,
elite senior athletes (women age 55-or-older, men age 65-or-older) who meet elite
Elite Senior Standards:5:40 marathon, 7:00 50K, 13:30 50-Mile.
Standard must be documented and achieved since September 1, 2013.
NOTE: Once the entry field has filled, the first 250 non-accepted
entries (checking the appropriate "request for waiting list" area on the entry processing
form) will be placed on a waiting list. All other non-accepted entries will be returned
along with the entry processing fee. Entries of those individuals on the waiting
list not being "called-up" to the entry field --by the October 20th entrant withdrawal
deadline-- will be returned along with the entry processing fee.
